As always, Eatout is at your service. This year, as with last year, the Eatout Call Centre will be open during the entire festive season to take your bookings. We will be able to tell you which restaurants can take your bookings and any that may already be fully booked.
It was an honour presenting our eatout enewsletter winner with her bottle of Chardonnay from Robertson Winery courtesy of Glen Lorne Cellers. Precious Guvamombe was ecstatic about winning the prize. “I feel very lucky to win, with many contestants participating and considering it was my first time to enter the competition.” She is going to give the bottle to a freind.

This honour was awarded by a specialist panel of master blenders, master distillers, importers and independent experts in a blind tasting judging based on aroma, appearance and taste.
Sampling, the 2011 six course Christmas lunch menu unveiled by Meikles was an experience I awaited with hesitant anticipation. Not that I distrusted what the hotel has always offered in terms of high end quality and international standards, far from it. But being a food critic, one is always tempted to wonder if the menu will touch that inner vein and create a beautiful and lasting impression.
