How did this concept come about? Well it all started with a bottle of wine and a Jacuzzi. Yes that's correct a Jacuzzi – the Managing Director of Barokes' Greg Stokes accidentally dropped a bottle of wine into a Jacuzzi almost breaking it. So the search for alternative packaging began in 1996.
Since the weight of the can is significantly lower that the bottle – this presents a logistical advantage to the product especially for Airlines. It also means there is a reduction in transport cost per unit.
