Mario da Silva of Fuel Supplies generally doesn't like playing with fire but on this ocassion a lunch at Leonardo's Restaurant in Borrowdale the temptation was irresistable. Daniel Marini of the restaurant said that this was one of their popular dishes.  There is a need for the restaurants in ZimbabweZimbabwe to start creating unique signature dishes and this will lead to an increase in competitiveness aswell as creativity.

The chorizo is cooked in front of you using methylated spirits which gives it the lovely blue flame.  You can choose how you like to have your sausage done.  At some of the steak houses the concept has been a platter made from cast iron which releases the heat slowly and allows you to start off with a rare steak and enjoy the sizzle of the cooking while you eat.

The fondue which was popular some years ago is also making a come back and it would interesting to see if any of the restaurants start offering cheese or chocolate fondues.
